Accessibility Statement

Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Accessibility is a release requirement for every page, not a later fix.

arm-age.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA: we design and test to the standard, but the site is new, still being built, and has not yet had an independent audit. We will update this statement when an audit is complete.

• Structure. Semantic HTML with landmarks, one main heading per page and a logical heading order.
• Keyboard. Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator. Site search supports the arrow keys, Enter and Escape.
• Colour contrast. Text and interface colours come from our design system and are tested automatically against contrast minimums.
• Forms. Every field has a visible label. Errors are described in words, linked to their field and announced to screen readers.
• Motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, animations are turned off.
• Resilience. Pages, the menu and forms work without JavaScript, and search falls back to a page of links.
• Zoom and reflow. Layouts adapt to small screens and to enlarged text.

• The game on our “page not found” screen is decorative. It can be played with the keyboard, but it is visual and has no audio or text alternative for its gameplay. Everything else on that page is fully accessible.
• Some pages show placeholder text while we write the final content. Placeholders are marked visually and in the text.

The site is designed for current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop and mobile, and for common assistive technologies such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and TalkBack.
